The back panel of the tower chassis is an array of connectors and slots. These allow input devices, output devices, and power lines to be linked with the internal components of the computer. Devices which generally have their own connector ports are the |keyboard|, |monitor|, and |power line|. Other input/output ports, either ~serial~ or ~parallel~, support peripherals like |modems| or |printers|. The expansion slots let you add |expansion cards| to customize the system. Other components on the back panel usually include a fan exhaust aperture, retaining screws, and a voltage selector switch. In some models, the power switch is also found here.
